“Dear Soaring Treetop Family,
This note comes to you a little later than I wanted to, but I hope it finds all of you doing well and enjoying the beautiful San Juan Mountains and forest.
We spent the 4th of July with you guys, and I wanted to share with you that this was the highlight of our Colorado trip. From the scenic train ride experience to your beautiful home, to the amazing soaring zip line experience in the trees, and all the details in between, my family cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience we had. For many of us, it was the first time zip lining, and the personal care, attention, and thoughtfulness in which you helped everyone prepare for the day, with reassurances it would all be fine, was beyond words.

I wasn’t sure my youngest (she’s 4) would be able to summon the courage to join, but when you guys tucked her bunny lovey into her harness to give her comfort along the ride, I knew she would lean in and be all in by the end of the day. When you ask her what her favorite part of our Colorado trip was, she will tell you, hands down, the zip lining experience. The pride in her voice and the smile on her face says it all.
Everyone on your team was simply amazing. You all made it a point to get to know each and every one of us — that personal touch really went a long way. We were nine of a large group of 28-30 that day, and yet you knew each of our names and got to know things about us along the way. As someone who works in client service in my day job, I know the importance of that, and how much that means in a relationship. I loved how you all got to know the kids and joke around with them — giving the older ones a hard time, and coaxing smiles out of the little ones, and encouraging others to be brave and bust out some tricks on the line — it was magical. We realized after we got home we didn’t get a picture with EVERYONE we spent the day with. 🙁
Please pass along our gratitude and appreciation to Phil, JJ, David, Sunni, Tori, Olivia, Patrick, your front office team (who let the kids draw pictures on the surveys and fed them popsicles) to the chefs who prepared that amazing lunch (I needed to go boxes to take what I couldn’t finish!!) — a giant thank you from all of the Luna family. You made the day a special one — one that we won’t ever forget.
As you all stood to wave goodbye and send us back into town, I was overcome with this sad feeling that you get when you have to say goodbye to family or dear friends as you head onto the next leg of your journey. That’s what you guys meant to us in the day we spent with you — you let us in as part of your family for the day, and we were all a little sad to have to say goodbye to our new family. Until next time (because there will most certainly be a next time) — thank you for everything. Keep doing what you’re doing — you’ve got something special with each other there, and it means a lot to the guests you welcome in each day.
Yours truly,
Tina Luna”
