The Wildlife at Soaring Tree Top Adventures

When you come to visit Soaring Colorado, not only will you experience a one-of-a-kind canopy tour, you will get to learn about all of our surroundings through a guided ecology tour.  Our “Eco Ranger” will teach you all about the plants and wildlife in the area.  During the first half of the course, you will zip through the old-growth ponderosa pine forest and swing through a beautiful aspen grove.  After your gourmet lunch, served on a platform overlooking the mighty Animas River, you will be Soaring back and forth across the river for the rest of the afternoon.

The San Juan National Forest is home to a variety of wildlife.  On any given day it’s possible to see elk, mule dear,  or even a black bear.  While you’re here at our property, you’re also likely to see a few other friendly creatures (see picture t0 the right).

All of our platforms and course engineering is eco-friendly and non-invasive.  It’s really important to us to protect all of our trees, which is why we use a specially designed “hugging” system to mount the platforms.
