4th of July Adventure – Zip line along the Durango Silverton Train

Another excellent season is underway and we are gearing up to help people celebrate the 4th by soaring our zip line along the Durango Silverton Train. Since mid-May we have been giving many guests the thrill of a lifetime on the world’s largest zip line course. The days around 4th of July will be our busiest yet. People travel from all over to celebrate the holiday in beautiful Southwestern Colorado. Our property is only accessible by the famous Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.

Durango and Silverton are both mining towns in the late 1800’s. Now they have booming tourist industries. Visitors enjoy fly fishing, white-water rafting, hiking, and many more outdoor activities. When in town, visitors peruse unique art galleries and eat at local restaurants. Walking down the main streets of both Durango and Silverton you can feel the mining history of the towns. At 9,318 feet in elevation Silverton is one of the highest towns in the country. The town only has a couple hundred residents, few people brave its cold, snowy winters. In the summer, visitors flock to the single paved road to soak up the local history.

Soaring Treetop Adventures – a thrilling way to celebrate the 4th!

Each day hundreds of people still travel the original route between Durango and Silverton on our narrow gauge railroad. Soaring Treetop Adventures is located halfway between the two towns in the pristine Animas Valley. The two-hour train ride from Durango to our property features Southwestern Colorado’s breathtaking natural beauty. The Animas river meanders through the valley near the train tracks. At first, the river lazily flows through large meadows and ranch land. Later on during the ride, it rages dramatically between steep canyon walls. After a relaxing train ride we’ll get the adrenaline pumping with our full day zip line experience. Every year families stop and do our zip line along the Durango Silverton Train for an action packed 4th of July adventure. Our one of a kind course will provide hours of fun for the whole family.
